Miami Loft living for gay home swap…
Steven and Hector live in a spacious 1400 square feet loft in beautifully maintained 6 story red brick building with outdoor pool, jacuzzi and a small gym. There is a gated parking area and 24 hour attentive door staff. The building is populated with many professionals active in the creative fields. It’s extremely quiet with excellent and easy access to South Beach, local art and culture and the airport. The loft is beautifully furnished and maintained and is perfect for a couple.

There is a very large king-size bed, a dedicated ‘office’ area for working home-away-from-home with access to 27” state-of-the-art iMacs. Hi Speed wireless internet, central air conditioning, a small but comfortable balcony, internet ready 42” flat screen TV and Parrot speakers that synchronize with Bluetooth and iPhone/Pod. There is a generous bath/shower and ample hot water. All ceilings are 15 feet high and the ceiling and some walls are raw concrete or block - otherwise the dominant color is a soft, restful grey. Lighting is all dimmer-switch controlled and low key. The apartment faces North so the light is always beautiful and the loft always cool. It is a much admired building and extremely well located for anyone that wishes to enjoy the allure of South Beach yet retreat to the peace and quiet of downtown and also have instant access to all major arteries leading in and out of Miami, the vibrant downtown art and design team and many other attractions. We have bikes and a Vesper the use of which could be discussed. You might prefer to hire a car and if so there is ample free parking around the loft.

The reputation of a city full of the bold and beautiful holds true and there is the infamous 12th street beach with its excellent assortment of eye-candy, gyms on almost every corner, a nudist beach a short drive away and a few excellent gay venues if this is your thing. We have enough art and design to compete with cities five times our size and all-in-all once the magic of Miami has captured your heart you will realize, as do we, that we live a blessed life in an almost idyllic environment. If you are a keen fitness addict there are a plethora of things to keep you busy from boating to body building to jogging the beautiful Venetian Causeway or along the wooden boardwalk that straddles the ocean. Lastly, there is ample shopping literally a 10 minute walk away with Midtown featuring a plethora of restaurants and brand name stores, and two blocks from the loft the largest food chains store in South Florida with everything you could wish for and probably the largest frozen dessert aisle in the Southern Hemisphere!

We are a gay professional couple (English/English-Colombian) who run our own companies and work in highly creative fields. Steven is the co-founder and creative force behind one of the most celebrated lifestyle stores on South Beach, now in its seventeenth year. We LOVE our loft and find it to be very special in every regard, as is life-in-general in Miami. Work and personal interests help us maintain a busy travel schedule and as we are both Anglophiles we would like to ‘settle’ in London for a good three months in a clean, modern, comfortable situation where we can live and work. Something centrally located or in the diverse community of the East End would be perfect. We are exceptionally meticulous in terms of our living standards and would treat your home with the utmost respect and we would hope for the same.

We keep a fairly rigorous gym and fitness regime so a washer/dryer is a must. We are flexible on dates but would like to be in London anywhere from June 1 thru end of September/October.
