Our condominium is 2200 sq. ft, with two large bedrooms and two full baths. One bath has a large walk-in shower. The master bath has a sunken Jacuzzi tub and shower plus a big walk-in closet. The floors are porcelain tile throughout, and the big, fully equipped kitchen has travertine counters and rich wood cabinets with stained glass. The apartment has all of the modern conveniences including high speed internet service, cable TV, and a washer and dryer. A veranda that runs the length of the apartment overlooks the Pacific for gorgeous sunsets, and watching the birds and monkeys in the trees below. It is wonderful outdoor living space for dining and relaxing. The building is well managed and maintained. There is also private parking and 24hr security along with a concierge service to arrange tours, massage or a private chef.
Our condo is just one of 10 units in the building and has received many accolades by our guests (comments from our guest book can be provided) plus we rate very highly on TripAdvisor.com
We are located above the beach on the road to famous Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica. The nearest major airport is San Jose. Our apartment can then be reached via a 20 minute flight to Quepos, or by a three hour road trip. The Manuel Antonio area abounds with fine restaurants, shops, and some night life. It is a short walk to a small market for food and other essentials. It is a popular destination and home for gay and lesbian travelers.
We are a couple of guys in a long-term relationship, a Brit and an American with our main home in Houston, Texas. Travel is a passion of ours and we are interested in visiting many different locations.

Our stucco home is 140 sq meters, with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and great unobstructed picture window views west, south and east across our town and the hills beyond, over the marina and yachts below, and out to a bridge over the San Francisco bay with Berkeley and Oakland in the distance. The home has been remodeled over the past five years with all new kitchen and white oak paneling and white oak floors throughout, completely remodeled bathrooms and new doors.
The climate is superb, not requiring air conditioning except about six days per year, and with very rare light frost in the winter. We have a beautiful garden with a gazebo for outdoor dining, and a table under the apricot tree, as well as oranges, redwood trees, Italian Cypress, lemons, apples, plums, persimmon, and roses linked by rock walls. Three excellent grocery stores are within five minutes walk of the house.
Our home is in fabled Marin County, just across the Golden Gate bridge from San Francisco, just north of the quaint towns of Sausalito, Tiburon, and Mill Valley, and home to many well-known people such as George Lucas, Sean Penn, and Francis Ford Coppola. It is a beautiful 15 minute drive or 30 minute ferry ride south to the Golden Gate and San Francisco, and a beautiful 30 minute drive north to the vineyards of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Organic olive orchards, dairies, and farms bring the best of California produce to the weekend farmers’ markets. In our neighborhood are beautiful evening walks up the mountain among very gracious homes featuring sparkling views out across the bay and bridges to the East Bay. Just above the homes lie miles of open space and hiking trails all the way to the bay. The town center of San Rafael, ten minutes’ walk from the house, features strolling and good restaurants, plus a film-festival type restored 1940’s theater.
I work every day in San Francisco, and it is one of the more beautiful commutes on the planet. To the Gay mecca of the Castro District is 35 minutes’ drive.
Mark and Leif have been a couple for 35 years. Mark is a caterer and has designed our kitchen, which is fully loaded with all the accoutrements that he as a chef could want. Leif is an architect, and oversaw the remodel. We love to entertain, and the house is designed for comfort and conversation. We have a fine chocolate lab who was described by a previous exchange couple as a “charming beast”. He can visit friends while you’re here.
We are very experienced travelers and are comfortable worldwide. The more we travel, the more we like staying in one location and becoming part of a neighborhood for 2-3 weeks. We have had two very delightful home exchanges, one in Alsace and one in Andalucia, and look forward to many more.

Our home is located in Eastham, Massachusetts, the first town within the Cape Cod National Seashore. It is a favorite vacation spot for many because of the gorgeous beaches, sand dunes, forests and bicycle trails. It is especially attractive to Gay travellers because of Provincetown located at the tip of the Cape. Provincetown is considered one of the “gayest” places in the world and has great restaurants, bars, theater and many beaches (Herring Cove has a wonderful nude section).
Eastham is about 25 minutes away from Provincetown by car. It is a great location if you want the peace and quiet of a rural beach community with the option of getting into the hustle and bustle when you feel like it. Boston is about 80 miles away can be reached by ferry from Provincetown or by bus from Eastham.
Our home is a “classic” antique reproduction cape with three bedrooms, two baths, Living/dining room, large kitchen, and a family room. It appears small but has lots of room and is very charming. Both the dinning room and the kitchen have large glass doors opening onto a huge deck, which can be used for entertaining or just lounging around in the sun. Directly off the deck is a fence- enclosed garden. The one and half acre property is covered with beautiful trees and left in a natural woodland state.
The home is comfortably furnished in a traditional style, with TVs in each bedroom and in the family room. A fresh water lake is a half-mile away and a “bay” beach is only a mile away. We love to walk to both. An entrance to the bicycle trail is nearby and we have two bicycles available. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors are respectful of your privacy. If a restful vacation is what you are looking for, this is the ideal place. A rental car is necessary.
We would to spend a month in a similar home in England, Italy, France , Spain or Australia. To contact Ted & Paul, please see HOME AROUND THE WORLD, the world’s leading gay home swap site.
We live in Spitalfields where the City borders on the trendy East End. We live on the 18th floor of a tower block with the most wonderful panoramic views over the City with a large south facing balcony. The downside is that it is an unattractive 60s tower block but the upside is that the apartment is completely refurnished and the location is just fabulous.
We are just a 5 minutes walk from the City, 10 minutes walk to the Tower of London, 15 to St Paul’s Cathedral and a couple of minutes walk to Brick Lane and the markets of Spitalfields. Our nearest Tube Station is around the corner (Aldgate East - Zone 1) and Liverpool St Station is a 5 minutes walk away. And everything that central London has to offer is on our door step.
I’m an overworked HR Director working for a city law firm and my partner is retired. We are 47 and 54 respectively. We would describe ourselves as ‘non-scene’ but like to enjoy what the ‘scene’ has to offer on an occasional basis. It keeps us young!
Amsterdam is a special place for us - so any excuse for a weekend exchange is never turned down. Otherwise we are quite open to offers. Currently looking for somewhere hot around two weeks for Xmas/New Year 2012.
We have just come back after 4 days at Simon’s and James’ beautiful apartment and the whole experience could not have been better. Their flat is very comfortable and stylish and has probably the best views over London’s skyline (18th floor!): just sitting in the living room is a mind-blowing experience… But the pictures don’t do justice to it!
The location is also great, in the middle of fashionable
Shoreditch just steps away from both the City and Brick Lane. We loved everything about Simon’s and James’ home.
We exchanged emails regularly during our stays and everything went incredibly well. They left our apartment in pristine conditions and we can’t wait to do it again very soon! Thank you so much guys!

Split-level, loft-style apartment in converted tannery from 1870s. 1 bedroom, 1 office, roof terrace. Rest open plan, the whole apartment is airy and light. Excellent for tubes, trains, buses and cycling. In building of youngish professionals, other gay men. Very few kids/pets. Great view of London skyline (incl. Gherkin). Apartment is on 5th and 6th floors, so undisturbed and very light, with lift. In addition to having access to a communal and newly refurbished roof terrace, my apartment has its own private, south-facing terrace, which is terracotta tiled and planted to make a beautiful and enjoyable outdoor haven with a hammock, table and chairs etc. WiFi network within the apartment.
Vibrant mixture of youngish professionals and ethnicities with excellent access to Brick Lane and all the attractions of the local markets (Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Petticoat Lane, Columbia Road Flower Market, Whitechapel Daily Market and many others, all walkable) as well as supermarkets, banks, coffee bars, parks, libraries, galleries, shops etc. Since the extensive and costly refurbishment of Spitalfields Market, it offers an extensive range of good-quality bistros, bars, restaurants and shops, including a variety of ethnic and continental restaurants.
I am single and fairly flexible, so open to suggestions. I will generally require some sort of Broadband connection, whether wired or wireless. I enjoy gardens and plants and am happy to look after yours while at your place. Ditto with pets for shorter periods.I can offer secure parking for your hire bikes or car and a range of city maps and guides for your use.I generally prefer homes where no car is required, so either within walking distance of amenities or with good public transport links.

We are very experienced home exchangers – having done 12 or so home exchanges over the years. We just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in London. We found Tim’s Flat to have met all of our criteria for a great home exchange: It was extremely comfortable, in a good location with excellent public transportation. The Spitafields neighborhood combines trendy and ethnic London vibes. Tim is a great guy with a broad set of interests.
We stayed 21 days. We met Tim and his friends/ neighbors. We always have extensive correspondence before a swap. The swap exceeded our expectations.
Lisa and I (Stephanie) are a creative 40something couple living in Brooklyn, New York. We are seeking an exchange in Amsterdam for at least three weeks (maybe more) in the spring/summer of 2014. Our dates are approximately May 1-22, and yes, we are planning wayyy ahead.
We’ve got a large yet cozy place in Brooklyn that is easily accessible to Manhattan by public transport. Plus, our own neighborhood is buzzing with artistic and gastronomic excitement.
I will be conducting research for a new book in Alkmaar for two weeks beginning May 22. We’ve got a place to stay there, however, we want to play and enjoy Amsterdam for a while before getting down to business!
